Magic Bahia - August 2011

This year the "Magic Bahia" program of Madame Brazil will lead you to discover the charms of the city of Salvador and the natural beauties of the Northern Coast of Bahia.

Our trip will be divided into two parts. In the first half, you will get to know "Cultural Salvador. " and on the second half you will discover "Ecologic Bahia".

Upon arriving in Salvador we'll stay in a pousada in the center of the city www.casadavitoria.com visit the main sights and make a historical, cultural and musical tour. Visiting the website of the pousada is well worth it. We will see, for example, that the historic guesthouse was renovated based on organic architecture and that it offers a cousy environmment that facilitates the feeling of being at home. We wish that our guests’ tourist experience begins in our house, where we have created a library with books about Brazilian art and history with emphasis on Bahia. The furniture was carefully acquired  from antique shops and commissioned craftsmen from the historic center of Salvador, highlighting the work of these few artists.

Our focus on the first half of our trip is to help you sense the spirit of Bahia and not only that, but the spirit of being "Baiano".
Madame Brazil will take you to meet the night of the city while experiencing the rich local cuisine. We will also make a boat trip through Bahia de Todos os Santos, where you will encounter some of the paradisiacal islands of our coast. Accompanying us in the boat trip will be a Brazilian band  playing typical samba and a classic Bossa-Nova that, together with the fresh fruit and caipirinhas offered during the trip will add up to the tropical scenario of your dreams!
On this first part of the trip, Madame Brazil also offers an optional friendly tennis tournament with players from Salvador. It's your chance to make friends with Brazilian tennis players in a pleasant intercultural sphere.

The second part of our trip is "Ecologic Bahia". We'll go to an ecologic pousada on the Northern Coast of Bahia
www.vilangelim.com.br, where you can relax and explore the local nature with its beautiful beaches and wild forest.
